Urban Theatre Projects is creating a new virtual reality (VR) experience called The Quiet Discomfort, which grapples with the complex social issue of emotional violence towards women and children.
Over the past year UTP has created a prototype and tested the ‘experience’ with various focus groups including counsellors, women with lived experience, high school students and friends of UTP. The response has been positive so we are taking the work into full production.
We’ve raised a total of $25,000 to build the full experience and thanks to Creative Partnerships Australia’s Plus 1 initiative, this amount will be matched dollar for dollar.
We look forward to sharing an update on the project later in the year.
